Timber Tax Update
In a continuing effort to provide tax professionals and educators with the latest information on the tax treatment of timber, the U.S. Forest Service presented timber tax update via web conferencing on August 2, 2006. The presenters included Neal Bungard, Forest Legacy Specialist, USDA Forest Service, Northeastern Area; John Greene, tax specialists, USDA Forest Service, SE Research Station; Bill Siegel, Attorney at Law, New Orleans, LA; Mark Koontz, webmaster for the National Timber Tax Website, and Bill Hoover, Professor of Forestry, Purdue University.
