State and Private Forestry - United States Forest Service:
Cooperative Forestry, in partnership with State Foresters and other key partners, redeems the Forest Service responsibility to connect federal forest resource management programs, expertise and objectives to the nation's 9.9 million private forest land owners, 390 million acres of private forest lands and 45,000 rural and urban communities.

Southern Research Station - United States Forest Service:
The Southern Research Station is part of the Nation's largest forestry research organization -- USDA Forest Service Research and Development -- the leading organization for research on natural resource management and sustainability in the United States. Headquartered in Asheville, North Carolina, the Southern Research Station serves 13 Southern States and beyond. Since the beginning of the 20th Century, the Southern Research Station's researchers have excelled in studies on temperate and tropical forests, forest resources, and forest products. These studies provide a wealth of long-term data sets and conclusions on the dynamics of tree plantations and natural stands, watershed management, and wildlife habitats.

American Tree Farm System:
The Foundation has a clear and certain mission: to encourage long term stewardship and sustainable use of our natural resources. Its programs are aimed at two goals. First, making certain that America's family-owned forests continue to provide clean water, fertile soil, quality recreation, homes for wildlife and wood for products--not just for this generation, but for all that follow. And second, to help young people learn the skills they will need to become responsible environmental decision makers.

National Woodland Owners Association (NWOA):
The National Woodland Owners Association is a nationwide organization of non-industrial private woodland owners. NWOA is affiliated with state and county woodland owner associations throughout the United States. Founded by non-industrial private woodland owners in 1983, NWOA is independent of the forest products industry and forestry agencies. We work with all organizations to promote non-industrial forestry and the best interests of woodland owners. Member of National Council on Private Forests, Natural Resources Council of America, and National Forestry Association
